Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro has a high commitment in environmental management. One of them is by building the Simple Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), but it is effective to reduce harmful pulutan materials. The output of making this WWTP is to support the achievement of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.

WWTP is designed with two components. The first compartment is a biological processing unit constructed with stone on the bottom layer and sand on the top layer. The second compartment is a reservoir for processed products from the first compartment, as well as a maturation process before the processed wastewater (effluent) is discharged into the infiltration well.
